QMGTOOL improvements

(move to correct category if needed) Needed to use QMGTOOLS for a *http ticket. Not often used this tool before - for reasons. Now ran into some issues which should be addressed ASAP: * for HTTP issues, the tool runs serveral data collectionis. For example ANZDFTPWD (not sure why this is needed). This needs long time on a system with 30.000+ user profiles and is not necessary in my opinion * the new IBM restrictions for data transfer do only allow a transfer ID / password - the QMGTOOL does not notify about this and first starts data collection, and after some 30 mins the job finishes without any further notice about not being able to send data. Even DSPJOBLOG does not show this * when working with a ticket, the support officer sends you links about using the QMGTOOL which does contain some links about usage who also contain more links about usage and installation - which do contain outdated information This creates more efforts to find out about how to send data to IBM on a ticket than the problem itself.

IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed. The following is a response to the points in the request:

    * HTTPCOL captures SYSSNAP. SYSSNAP utility has a default collection and that includes ANZDFTPWD. SYSSNAP is required to capture adequate data for HTTP server related issues.
    * The collector utilities can be run without upload option . This means it does not matter if the credentials are entered to capture the data, only to upload.
    * IBM Service is going though many changes throughout the year and are making changes to documentation as they can. These tools are used "as is" and developed by the support staff. We would recommend when working cases with your IBM support rep to provide feedback on their collectors in the future.
