Merged idea
This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit IBMI-I-3011 Enhance IBM i Tech Refresh 11 new view called SYSFILES to include the based on table if an index is being retrieved..

SQL Service to list based on files Merged

Provide an SQL view/service which contains details of the files upon which a logical file/index/view is based. Similar to that provided via DSPFD 'PFILE' section. SYSFILES provides the number of based on files but there is not currently a way to get the identity of the files through SQL views/services - only DSPFD to an OUTFILE or an API. This would be much simpler.

A similar request for returning based-on file information has already been received and accepted for future consideration. Marking this as a duplicate request.
