Terminate long running tasks on end requests

In order to terminate a program gracefully during an end request (ex. ENDJOB, ENDSBS, ...) the job end status can be checked (ex. RTVJOBA ENDSTS in CL or %ShtDn in RPG) and acted accordingly.  The problem is however that when a job is executing long running tasks such as a DLYJOB or QRCVDTAQ, these are not ended by the end request which will still cause the program to end abnormally if the wait time is longer than the controlled end delay time.

It would therefore be nice if the long running tasks would also immediately end on a controlled end request.

The CAAC has reviewed this IBM Idea and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority Idea that should be addressed.

Recommend IBM address by backporting the change in Delay Job Idea (https://ibm-power-systems-cc.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/IBMI-I-2004) to 7.4

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual IBM Ideas on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your Idea.

Part of this request is a duplicate of https://ibm-power-systems.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/IBMI-I-2004.

A new parameter, CTLEND, was added to the DLYJOB command in 7.5 to allow the user to specify the controlled end action.
You can read about the options for this new parameter in the DLYJOB command documentation:

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/api/v1/content/ssw_ibm_i_75/cl/dlyjob.htm

Moving status to Under consideration to evaluate the QRCVDTAQ part of this request.
