Possibility to create IFS objects filters

Because many sources for IBM objects e.g programs, commands can be stored in IFS directories, it would be good to have possibility to define IFS directories and files filters like ones available for objects.

.Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.

Yes. It is true, however you can't create filter with directory generic name. Let's assume we have a few directories named with the same prefix. I would like to be able to create filter showing all directories with specified prefix.

Hi, while RDi Remote System Explorer IFS doesn't have Object filter place holders like 'Work with Libraries', 'Work with Objects', and 'Work with members' nodes, it does allow users to create IFS Filters.

Right-Clicking on IFS Files, and selecting New -> Filter does allow you to create IFS Directory filters. There is a list of pre-selected object types, but also allows users to add their own object type.

Given how those currently work, how would you propose we enhance IFS Object Filters? IE Today, they do require you specify the directory. And allow you to create multiple directory filters. (/home/CGI9800/) and (/home/CGI9801).

Are you asking for a filter to allow /home/CGI*, *PGM?
