Enabling an SQL query for the OVRFLW line of a spool file.

It would be great if the OVRFLW line could be retrieved through an SQL query. With this attribute, spool files could be correctly duplicated from an application.

    While we understand your Idea, we do not currently plan to implement it. It appears to have limited benefit to our user community since it has not gathered any votes. In addition, the COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) evaluated it as low value.

    The overflow line value is available through the QUSRSPLA API. You could write your own API interface to get this piece of information.

    We will focus our development resources on other Ideas that have broader support. If this Idea is voted as having value to many users, we will reconsider its status.

    The CAAC has reviewed this IBM Idea and believes there is not enough use case for this idea to be implemented.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual IBM Ideas on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your Idea.
