    Thank you for taking the time to submit your request. After careful consideration, we know that we cannot deliver your requested enhancement soon, so it is being declined. However, your request does align with the future strategy of our product and we believe it may have future value, so we will add it to an internal list for us to keep in mind for the future.

    Having message ids is important. We need to know what message to monitor. They can also be used to search for other instances in the history log.

    Also, with the option you mention, we get the second level text for ALL messages, which makes analyzing the log more cumbersome. Maybe you could show the result collapsed initially: all first level messages with a + to expand and see the second level text and and Expand all option. Now that I think of it, a search would be useful as well (if you want this as a separate RFE, I'll create one.

    You can set the preferences to "Retrieve message help". Can you please check to see if you have that on?
    To check the setting, go to:
    1) Window -> Preferences
    2) Select Remote Systems -> IBM i -> Commands subsystem
    3) Check that "Retrieve message help" is selected.
    This should allow the Commands Log view to include second level message text. However it does not display the message ID and you do not press F1 to display it. Please let us know if this satisfies your requirement.
