.NET Core requested on Linux on Power

Hi

We are in a situation where our Warehouse application (Consafe/Astro) will move from AIX to Linux (x86) due to usage of .NET Core for their application development.

I need to .NET Core to run on Linux on Power (RHEL 7.n/8) ppc64le so we can still run the application on Power Systems to gain all the benefits from Power Systems. We have like 40+ sites today running all warehouse parts on S822/S922 fully virtualized (of course) and would like to continue using/reusing Power systems.

Idea priority High

.NET 7 is now available for IBM Power. Here are the announcements:

    RedHat announcement

    Microsoft announcement

Here's how you can join the IBM Power Developer eXchange to continue the conversation and help to extend the .NET framework for Linux on Power.

Well, now when .NET 6 is supported on Mainframe... this is more or less a must!

Although we are not able to commit at this time, the team recognizes the validity of this request and is evaluating how to get this done.
