This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

the IBM Cloud offering for Power systems PowerVS, VMLC , requires an OVA formatted image for use in their offering.
As SSP managed import/export does not result in an OVA (but a raw disk transfer), SSP managed customer data have no option to move from on prem powervc managed Lpars to IBM Cloud , as there is no solution to generate an OVA for a PowerVC managed customer with SSP attached storage.
Thank you for the suggestion, we will explore this for a future release.
This would be a great enhancement as we were operating under the assumption that this would work out of the box to be able to export and move around captured images when 1.4. came out.
