Such an obvious missing basic function it can hardly be called an enhancement.
I suggest:
lu -modify -lu oldname -attr LU_NAME=newname
lu -modify -luudid oldhexA -attr LU_NAME=newhexB

    Hi Nigel,
    We understand the LU name change functionality that is mentioned in your first example.
    In your second example, you mentioned "LU_NAME=newhexB". Do you mean that LU udid to be changed from "oldhexA" to "newhexB"?
    Since, LU udid is the identifier of LU, it cannot be changed. udid generation is not in user control even when LU is created.


    lu -modify -lu oldname -attr LU_NAME=newname
    lu -modify -luudid oldhexA -attr LU_NAME=newhexB

    The requirement is understood, IBM agrees that the described capability is needed. It's currently in planning evaluation to determine a target delivery date.

    I am waiting for some review or progress but I suspect this RFE system is either totally broken or totally ignored.
