IBM Power Series FC HBA Driver enhancement

Enable Driver of Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (FC HBA) to alert gaps identified in SCSI IDs for the external storage luns (FC based Storage)

    .In general SCSI IDs on a SAN are volatile. Furthermore since they are 24-bit entities, there is no guarantee they can be contiguous (which I think is what they are asking). SCSI IDs are assigned by the fabric and typically are not contiguous. LUN IDs are assigned to the volumes by the storage device when the volumes are mapped to a particular host. Most storage devices allow the user to manually select the LUN IDs, or by default (typically) the storage device assigns them automatically, usually just starting at 1 and counting upwards

    Please expand upon what exactly is being requested of AIX relative to SCSI ID and LUN values for fibre channel attached storage.
