When customers open AIX Support cases, they are typically asked to upload a system snap to provide data for problem determination. Customers encountering issues with X11 (XDMCP, X11 Forwarding, XVFB, etc) are then asked to collect additional information. It is nearly impossible to assist a customer without having common information, as described here https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/mustgather-getting-assistance-x11-errors-through-aix-support
IBM should provide a more automated means to determine the problem and the environment in which the problem occurs. This RFE is a request to consider ways to automate some of this process to expedite case resolution for AIX customers uncertain of the requirements for remote display. If data collection is not feasible, perhaps some configuration report which would advise an admin of their system capabilities.
