Useless RBAC syslog messages in AIX 7.1

Enhanced RBAC is activated by default in AIX 7.1
Even when no additional configuration is made, any use of a "privileged" command is logged to syslog. Those privileged commands include "read only" commands like lspv or lsvg.
This does not make any sense, except that it floods syslog with unnecessary, useless messages.
Really important elevated executions of configuration commands is hidden by the mass of unnecessary log entries. It is not possible to separate normal usage by non-RBAC users compared to elevated usage by RBAC users.
I'd suggest to deactivate the default logging (as it was in AIX 6.1) and supply a configuration option to activate/deactivate it. Either an option in sys0 or a "reboot only" option would do the trick.
A bit more complex but the better solution would be to log only those command invocations that were allowed through RBAC.

The enhancement is delivered in AIX 7.2 TL2 and 7.1. TL5

Please refer to the RBAC log level section of the doc:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/ssw_aix_72/filesreference/secvars.cfg.html

    chsec -f /etc/secvars.cfg -s rbac -a loglevel="selected_loglevel"

    Hi,

this RFE changed to "Delivered" without any more detail. How was this change delivered?
On our 7.1 systems (current TL and SP) we still see some messages like:
kern:notice unix: The privilege command /usr/sbin/sendmail...
On 7.2 they seem to completely disappeared.
So what exactly did you do? Just removed the messages? Is there a switch? When was this functionality delivered? Is there any documentation, announcement etc?

    Regards,
    Armin

    Hello,

can I read your statement as "There will be definitely a feature/fix for this issue"?
I also understand, that this fix will be delivered some time in 2017.

Can you commit on those statements?

    Regards,
    Armin

Since we are late in the 2016 GA cycle,
it would be hard to get it in TL this year.
So make it a 2017 deliverable with possible
    early ifix for the customer.
