Ability to download and generate HMC logs from the GUI

It would be useful to both have the ability to generate and download HMC system logs from the HMC GUI rather than resorting to the CLI when troubleshooting an issue with IBM. Also the ability to see logs in /tmp so these can be cleaned up by the user when the case is closed as these are normally large in size.

    Hi Andrew,

    As mentioned in the previous comment, there is a way to collect pebdg data and send problem report from the UI. chhmcfs command can be used to clean up old log files from /dump, if needed. Can you please provide more information on the use cases for generating pedbg and downloading outside of the Transmit Service Information flow?

    There is an option in the GUI, but you have to login the HMC with user hscpe.
    The pedbg will be send to IBM if the route to the internet is open.
