Controlling of SQL FAST DELETE

They want to define
Library or
Library/file and number of records to switch to FAST DELETE

CUSTOMER 0
CUSTOMER/DATAENTRY 1 15000

For each option
0 means no FAST DELETE
1 means fast delete with number of records to switch
Zero records means switch direct to FAST DELETE

Use Case:

Our customer needs a simple way to control
SQL FAST DELETE

They want to define
Library or
Library/file and number of records to switch to FAST DELETE

For each option
0 means no FAST DELETE
1 means fast delete with number of records to switch
0 records means switch direct to FAST DELETE

No FAST DELETE means it's possible to control it via exit program for database full open
Description Exit point Format
Database open
QIBM_QDB_OPEN DBOP0100
CLRPFM, CREATE or REPLACE TABLE are not a problem

The most simple solution was to call the exit program for every SQL FAST DELETE.

IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.

Using the SQL_FAST_DELETE_ ROW_COUNT control in a QAQQINI file can be used to control fast delete. No addition control will be added

You can use SQL_FAST_DELETE_ ROW_COUNT in a QAQQINI file to control fast delete. While this does not allow you to specify a library, there are several ways to control which and when a QAQQINI file is used. For more information search the Knowledge Center.
