Advanced Job Scheduler Calendar Date Entry

Add ability to input more than one calendar date at a time. Could be as simple as adding a + sign for More dates. Could be presenting a scrollable date calendar dropdown or popup in the green screen that one could point and click multiple dates over many months/years. Prefer an import feature from a .CSV or .xlsx in Access Client Solutions.

Use Case:

This would allow for a minimum of the ability to Copy/Paste from a static document into multiple fields via 5250 screen, or via a drop down calendar, provide easy option to select dates with mouse clicks, or at best using a static document to import the same dates, to one or more systems, the same exact data.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM not implement this request.  It is anticipated that the benefit of the requested function would be minor compared with the effort required to implement it.

Background:  The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers.  CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

For more information about CAAC, see www.common.org/caac

For more details about CAAC's role with RFEs, see http://www.ibmsystemsmag.com/Blogs/i-Can/May-2017/COMMON-Americas-Advisory-Council-%28CAAC%29-and-RFEs/

    on ADDJOBSCDE or CHGJOBSCDE

SCDDATE (Schedule date, day of month) and SCDDAY (Schedule day of week) parameters are mutually exclusive.

SCDAY has already a multi-elemnet parameter, SCDDATE does not have a multi-element parameter. You are talking to have it also as a multi-element parameter. You are right it is needed.

But even more important, is to have SCDTIME (Schedule time) as multi-element parameter, we have in our company many jobs running a few times during the day.
