This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Thank you for submitting your Request For Enhancement. We understand the value of this RFE, but higher priority items have taken precedence. We are keeping this on our list for consideration in the near future.
I am trying to find all spool files for any instances of job ERPINV920. iACS insists on me entering the job number and user when searching by job name. I want all instances of that job, preferably sorted by timestamp desc much like
SELECT JOB_NAME, CREATE_TIMESTAMP, SPOOLED_FILE_NAME, TOTAL_PAGES, FILE_NUMBER
FROM QSYS2.OUTPUT_QUEUE_ENTRIES_BASIC
where job_name like '%ERPINV920%'
ORDER BY CREATE_TIMESTAMP DESC
;
Basically I have a user who cannot schedule the batch job due to security reasons but must process the resulting spool files the next day and she'd like to find the spool files for that job from the most recent run.
IBM understands this request and will consider it for a future code update, though no commitment is made or implied.
The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. Consistency across the interfaces and the ability to promote the use of graphical tools, such as ACS, are the stated direction of IBM i.
Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
