ACS - Add feature to run scripts from a HLL.

As part of modernization and as a replacement for RUNQRY, this change would be beneficial. The ACS team has been making some great stuff available. Taking that to the next step...

I have a number of applications that would benefit from this feature. Users no longer want to print reports and they need to see "report" on the screen and sometimes save it in an Excel document.

As a developer, I have used and run my SQL queries to the screen for some years. I now need this feature for users.

I have no problem using the long command such as :

built into a HLL.

Often users make changes to data and they would need to see their changes as in a report on-line and sometimes save the result into an Excel document or simply see data on screen and not in a report.

Today we are seeing more tables using larger varchar fields and when displayed using RUNQRY *N LIB/FILE, the large fields required using F20 a number of times to see the next field. Using ACS's interactive SQL, the varchar fields are condensed to display the field with as many characters as needed.

The feature permits us to build filters and sorts on the fly customizing the data for the user to view.
