The request for IFS new Nav is a duplicate of 147720. Please add your vote to that RFE.
The request to also include DB Schema- The tools for DB support is ACS. We have no plans on adding that support to New Nav

This is a great idea and it's good to get these requests on the roadmap, but at least for now IBM wants us to use the ACS client and the new Nav4i together and if you are prepared to do that you can have what you want today.
Long term I believe IBM will give you what you want and implement IFS file upload and download from the browser based client.
On the plus side, the IFS file uploader / download and Database Management in ACS are better than anything in HeritageNav.
You can limit the functionality of both to suit each users needs and it's just one common set of credentials for both interfaces.
You can even link to NewNav from the ACS client.
I love the idea of the drag and drop for file upload, I'd like to see this in ACS as well as NewNav4i but as Sam says if this is your number one requirement, you could do that with a Mapped Network Drive via NetServer.

If I understand your requirement correctly and you are using Windows, you could map a Windows drive to point to the IFS.
(I don't know Linux, but I imagine there's a similar function to do the same thing.)
