This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.
Welcome to the IBM Ideas Portal (https://www.ibm.com/ideas) - Use this site to find out additional information and details about the IBM Ideas process and statuses.

Fact is that even the underlying API QSRLSAVF doesn't even provide IFS information in a savefile.
Primary idea is therefore that IBM adds another format to QSRLSAVF to provide this kind of information (which makes it the possible to create SQL functions as well).
@Carmelita... the solution DOES NOT exist ! (as already explained in the post you're commenting on).
The SQL methods you're referring to, do NOT list IFS information of a savefile (which is even documented in the manuals).
The CAAC has reviewed this IBM Idea and recommends that IBM not implement this request.
Solution already exists, use the QSYS2 SAVE FILE INFO and the QSYS2 SAVE FILE OBJECTS to get this information.

Just to respond to Sara Andres, this capability is NOT available in the latest TR.
You are referencing a SAVE FILE List feature which I've had in my shop since V7R2. The IBM feature, recently announces only duplicates what I've already done, and provides no new capability. In addition as it states in that referenced SQL function's documentation
Detailed information for save files that contain Integrated File System data is not returned.
Therefore my request is still valid, and Thank you IBM for the "Future Objective" status.
The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement
This functionality is already delivered in the las TR
