IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this Idea at this time, so it is being closed. This idea is architecturally prohibitive the way save files currently store metadata about the save and would result in a sizable developmental effort and likely an entirely new save file type. The cost to implement would not be worth the benefit given the alternative media options already available on IBM i that include similar functionality eg. virtual optical and virtual tape.
