Enhance PDI to have the option to open drill-downs in new tab

In New Navigator, the Performance Data Investigator supports opening the initial chart in a new tab. However, all drill downs taken on that chart open in the same tab. This is problematic for the following reasons:

  1. I often need to look at mulitple charts at the same time to understand the relationship between them. My circumvention is to take screen captures and do the comparison in other tools.

  2. When investigating a problem, different drill downs often need to be taken from a starting chart. For example, starting with Waits Overview, I may identify a timeframe with a performance issue that needs to be looked at by the different groupings - job/generic job/current user profile/subsystem. To look at different groupings, I must go back to the Waits Overview chart.

The problem starting with charts with the groupings ("Waits by Job Current User Profile", "Waits by Subsystem", etc) is those charts show the groupings for the entire collection and very rarely do I want to do that. Almost always, I need to focus on a timeframe to see the top contributors at that point in time.

  3. When you go back to a chart previoulsy opened, it reloads the chart. This means the full query is run again on the server. This uses CPU on the system, and any zooming in and selection of beginning/ending points are lost.
