Add the description of the PTF is the summary of PTF groups, cumulative, etc...

When you are about to install a PTF group is nice to check which are the PTFs it includes, especially if you want to solve a certain problem. Also is good to check between 2 different groups to check why something works with one group PTF and not ...

Allow IBM i connection to Fix Central to download PTF iso image files to also use port 990 as well as port 21 for secure downloads.

My company has threatened to disallow a connection to Fix Central using port 21 even if it is secure. This would prohibit the ability to download iso image files from Fix Central to the IBM i. Right now if the command FTP <fix-central> SECCN...

add SENDPTFORD options *TRGRP and *SECGRP to the list of options listed under F4 prompt

This would be useful by making it easier to download all TR group PTFs and Group Security PTFs, without having to lookup the Group PTF numbers, similar to the other options, such as *CUMPKG, *DB2GRP, *HIPERGRP, *JVAGRP, etc.

Create a System Status and PTF info routine that can be used to easily send that info to Support when needed. Perhaps a CL commadn SNDSYSINFO or something like that.

While SYSSNAP in QMGTOOLS is fine, it does take "centuries" to run, and then the customer has to collect the data and transmit it to IBM Support when needed. The request is to create a simple service command that sends all that related info to IBM...

Allow PTF Groups to be ordered using deltas

We have developed a tool that can compare the PTF Group levels installed on a system and those available from IBM. When we see a difference between the group levels we use SNDPTFORD to order the PTF's directly to an Image Catalog ready for install...

A way to suppress DDM error from creating problem logs

Having more control over what generates an APAR library for DDM/DRDA connections would be a good idea. It would appear IBM started logging trivial things like communication errors as software problems. This is a huge issue for shops monitoring WRK...
