PDF Print Support In IBM/I

PDF has become the new standard for output for documents being stored in document management systems. It would be nice for IBM/I to be able to push print directly out to printers like it does with PCL.


Use Case:

PDF has become a big standard in todays business for saving documents long term. IBM/I really needs to be able to print it.

    As indicated in a previous Comment, there are several ways to get PDFs from IBM i, including converting Spool Files to PDFs. See https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/ssw_ibm_i_73/rzalu/rzalupdfsplf.htm for more information. We believe this RFE has been satisfied, so it is being closed as Delivered.

    Since v6r1, we've had several options for producing PDF documents, how does your RFE fill a gap in what we already have?
