BRMS Control group execution auditing report

Our external auditors are regularly asking for success and failure reports of the execution of the backups (BRMS Control groups) for different periods (montly, quarterly, yearly)
The current DSPLOGBRM command that we are using to create reports is limited to one message identifiers only and either displays things on screen or as print output.
We then assemble these reports in one spread sheet and edit this before sending it to them.
It would be useful to:
- allow several message identifiers to be selected in one go and/or grouped by *CTLG, *MEDIA, *IFS, *OBJ, *LIB, etc)
- have an outfile as option for the output so the result can be captured in Excel on the PC
- an additional option/keyword could be *BRMS for the time parameter being the Day start time as defined in the System Policy.
The option could also be used for the daily operational check on the backups.
Some of the message identifiers that spring to mind are:
*CTLG - BRM1049, BRM10A1, BRM1380, BRM1657, BRM1970
*MEDIA - BRM1033, BRM148A, BRM1480
*IFS - CPD384D, CPD3775
*OBJ - CPF3741, CPF3761
*LIB - CPF377F
The advantage of having the message identifiers grouped is that there will be less maintenance at the customer level and less risk to overlook things.

The BRMS team has provided an SQL service that can be used to view, order, and subset BRMS information equivalent to the DSPLOGBRM information to support this request with the following PTFs: 7.2 SI74477, 7.3 SI74478, 7.4 SI74479. This allows each individual customer to sort and view the data as they choose to generate unique output. More information can be found on the BRMS wiki https://helpsystemswiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IWT/pages/1180860419/QUSRBRM.BRMS+LOG+INFO+View

This is still on the BRMS team backlog list, the community can continue to vote to influence priority.

The BRMS team will use this request as input to planning but no commitment is made or implied. This request will be updated in the future if IBM implements it. The BRMS team will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this request.

Have you tried the PRTRPTBRM TYPE(*CTLGRPSTAT) command? It may provide the type of information you would like. It can be used to gather control group information from a single system or multiple systems. It provides a QP1ABS file which summarizes information about backup control groups.
