We commonly use a change management system to do impact analysis on IBM i objects in our applications. The DSPPGMREF in correctly returns *FILE for a *MSGF reference in CLP or CLLE. The command will be correct to not return anything, but it is important for impact analysis to see the relationships of a message file when a program references them.
