Feature Request ACS

We would like to prevent endusers from modifiing the sessions names. In the previous version 7.1, we were able to deploy the policy (registry) to restrict this change. However in the new version it appears the registry keys no longer works. CHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\IBM\Client Access Express\Restrictions\Emulator Prevent Configuration of display sessions


Use Case:

We have configurations setup by session name, prevent certain actions from being taken etc. Ideally we need to prevent endusers from changing the session name to avoid bypassing certain internal procedures.

    The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed. This could be achieved with a simple configuration file parameter rather than a registration key.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
