Size of a pdf with afprsc jpeg

When we create a PDF with the 5770ts1 product (afp/pdf transformation), the PDF size is high if it contains an image as JPEG (keyword dds afprsc)
The PDF size is approximatively 3 times the size of the image (an image of 192 kb gives a PDF of 786432 kb)
This is already a problem.
If I create an AS400 spoule containing overlays, if I print several times the same overlay, the size of the AS400 spoule doesn't increase. The image is only once referenced.
This is not the case in 5770ts1.
I must print documents for brokers. A document contains 2 images. The size of the PDF is approximatively 1MB (very heavy in comparison with Pc Products that create PDF)
For certain brokers, I have to print until 500 documents in a single document. That means a PDF with more than 500MB.
This will be refused by the clients. Wouldn't it be possible to make a reference in the PDF so that the image should just need to be changed one time. ?

.We will consider this high-value enhancement as we make improvement to the TS1 PDF transform.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. Although we are accepting this RFE, it seems like it may be more of a bug that should be handled as a PMR.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

For more information about CAAC, see www.common.org/caac

We recognize the inefficiency with the current overlay support in the 5770-TS1 transform. We will add this to our list of worthwhile improvements for any future enhancements.
Note that the Infoprint Server (5722-IP1) product can be used to avoid this issue.
