Merged idea
This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit IBMI-I-1000 ODBC driver for MAC Os in iAccess Client Solution.

ODBC driver for Mac Merged

Provide an ODBC driver for Mac OSX that can communicate with DB2 for i.

Use Case:

Windows and Linux desktop users can configure their open source language development environment (i.e. VSCode with Node.js) to connect to DB2 for i. This is great because it allows IBM i shops to succeed faster in their adoption of open source by making development of apps simpler.

Mac OSX laptops in the business environment is on the rise, but without ODBC drivers it leaves them at a disadvantage and would require Parallels to run a separate Windows/Linux vm to achieve parity with other developers in their shop.

This is a duplicate of an existing RFE: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=96249

Please direct your votes and comments to that RFE.

This is an obvious request - and I will champion that in my work in CEAC
