Allow journal entry read (RCVJRNE) and native DB I/O with field proc encoded data.

Consider a field proc used for field level encryption. When replicating database activity, the data must be decrypted as it is being read from the journal. It then must be re-encrypted when it is written to the database.

It would improve performance if there was an option to read journal entries where the data is returned in the encrypted format. In addition an _Ropen option to specify that the data buffer should not be subject to field proc processing -- written data would already be encrypted and data read would return the encrypted data in the buffer.

Without the change, If any data is buffered between the time it is read from the journal and applied to the database, it will be in clear text format and at greater risk to exfiltration.

This idea will have a positive impact both on performance as well as security of the data in its movement from the remote journal to the DR database copy.

I do realize this idea is complicated by the fact the field data type and length for the encrypted data can be different from the unencrypted data type.

IBM will use this Idea as input to planning, but no commitment is made or implied. This Idea will be updated in the future if IBM implements it.
