IBM Navigator for i - Add Shipped Bookmarks with SSL ports

Right now there are Shipped Bookmarks in the IBM Navigator for i that are set to connect to various services (such as IBM Web Administration for i, port 2001; IBM Digital Certificate Manager for i, port 2006; etc.) through non-SSL ports only. Asking to either replace them with SSL ports or add more bookmarks with SSL ports (IBM Web Administration for i, port 2010, etc.). Thanks.

    Thanks for your input and further explanation. We agree that this idea has merit and would be a useful enhancement. IBM will use this Idea as input to planning, but no commitment is made or implied. This Idea will be updated in the future if IBM implements it. IBM will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this Idea.

    No, it has not been delivered. What I see changed is allowing to edit bookmarks again, which was previously in there for a long time and then suddenly got locked down. Now it's available again, but to make changes to SSL we'd have to:

    1) know the SSL ports for each connection;

    2) change bookmarks' ports for each LPAR of the many we have;

    I'd not called it "easily switch".

    My idea was, either in place of the existing non-SSL bookmarks or in addition to them, to add SSL bookmarks as Shipped Bookmarks.
    Something like two options on the Actions menu:
    - Restore Shipped SSL Bookmarks with SSL ports;
    - Restore Shipped non-SSL Bookmarks with non-SSL ports;
    -------------
    Thanks.

    With the latest Q4 2023 PTFs, you can easily switch between non-SSL and SSL by editing the bookmark. This allows you to customize as needed.
    This link has the PTF information. It is recommended to apply the HTTP group. https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6486565
