We ran this PMR past a service representative who works on the Pre-Upgrade Verification (PRUV) tool and received the following response.
"I reviewed the PMR and it has nothing to do with an upgrade. They have run away queries and CPYF that is using a lot of temporary storage (over a terabyte to around 100G after ending the jobs). This would also cause fragmentation; especially with small objects.
Monitoring and reporting temp/perm storage levels and fragmentation is useful but the PRUV tool is not the proper place, other than checking if they have enough storage to perform the upgrade...which we already check."
As this was a low priority item along with the fact it is not appropriate for the upgrade tool, we decided to reject the RFE.
