This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

IBM Power Systems Development
The request for DCM to support creating certificates and certificate requests with multiple Subject Alternative Names (SAN) has been a very popular request which resulted in a few different RFEs requesting this enhancement. This request might still get done in the future so simply rejecting it is not appropriate. It is therefore being deferred since it cannot be completed at this time.
IBM will use this request as input to planning but no commitment is made or implied. This request will be updated in the future if IBM implements it. IBM will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this request. IBM agrees with the request and a solution appears to be desirable and feasible. IBM intends to provide a solution however it is at the edge of the plan at this time so moving back to Uncommitted Candidate to accurately reflect the current state.
The ability to request a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) that contains a single SAN (Subject Alternative Name) was provided via PTFs using enhancement ID 107973 : https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=107973
The code to handle multiple SANs is planned for a future release.
Note that DCM currently allows certificates that contain multiple SANs to be imported and be used so certificates that are generated in other platforms that allow multiple SANs can be used on IBM i.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Power Systems
Product - IBM i
Component - Security
Operating system - IBM i
Source - None
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
Product family - Power Systems
Product - IBM i
Component - Core OS
Operating system - IBM i
Source - None
