This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

I am not asking for this support on SBMJOB. I am asking for batch immediate jobs, which are started by spawn(), to inherit the QAQQINI file set in the parent job.
Batch immediate jobs today inherit many attributes from the parent job, as documented in the "Attributes Inherited" section on this web page: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_74/apis/spawn.htm
Specifically, item #13.
I am asking for this set of attributes to be extended to include the QAQQINI file used by the parent job.
IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.
It would be costly to add a new parameter to SBMJOB to support the adoption of the QAQQINI file. This interface change would need to be extended into other operating system layers as well to allow the adoption to happen.
The application can mitigate this with a procedure. Whatever is being sent to the batch job, wrapper it with a procedure and use the OVERRIDE_QAQQINI procedure.
