1. email domain name required to support IDN!
2. Email prefix ( the left characters of the @ symbol in the email address) required to have IDN support!
IDN requires a lot of update to existing email system. 4 Request for Comments (RFC) were created by Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF) for the IDN:
1. RFC 6530: Overview and Framework for Internationalized Email
2. RFC 6531: SMTP Extension for Internationalized Email
3. RFC 6532: Internationalized Email Headers
4. RFC 6533: Internationalized Delivery Status and Disposition Notifications
We need evaluate what can be added to IBM i SMTP email system and when.
