The SQL function OBJECT_STATISTICS returns the Long SQL Name for system objects that are also SQL objects. However there is no "fast" way to access these objects by their LONG name, full or generic. Provide a way to access objects by Long SQL Name, faster than we now have.

There is no fast way for OBJECT_STATISTICS to locate a *DTAARA that is a sequence by using the long SQL name. That name is buried in the object so it is not accessible until the object is touched and read.
The following existing solution to your request should perform well. The catalog view QSYS2.SYSSEQUENCES contains a row for each sequence object. We would recommend that you query this view to find the sequence using the long name. Then you can pass the returned system name to OBJECT_STATISTICS to get the additional attributes you are looking for.
Similar processing using the SQL catalog tables can be done for other SQL objects.
