I generated the source to a source file DFREINKEL/QDDLSRC. The member has a name but the type is blank. It could be DDL. The text description is not retrieved from the table. Its left blank.
The generated source looks like the attached file.
Please add the following at the top of the source:
member name
long name
Member text.
This example is pretty clean. If you have more complicated definitions with long names, the overflow to the next line has caused problems. I could not find the examples as I have had to manually clean them up.
I had included copies of what the source looks like and it was on the original case I opened.
I will get copies again and paste them in here.
Db2 for i development team
It appears that you are selecting the "Statements formatted for readability" option from the ACS dialog. That option adds control characters such as tabs and new lines to format the SQL statements. These characters should be harmless within your SQL source. Are they causing an actual problem, or do they just view as odd characters in your editor?
Can you provide some specific examples of the type of behavior you are seeing that you believe should be changed? That would help us understand this request.
