Make the control panel more physically accessible (specific issue starting with Power 9 Tower models).

It would be useful so anyone actually using the control doesn't have to lay on the floor to read it. It should be readily accessible for anyone using it. (i.e. Performing system installs, repairs, etc. when physical access is needed to it.)

Finally leverage "the mainframe lesson" and fully exploit NUMA in POWERsystems

Why run VIO servers in the same cores, DIMMs, buses, etc. as all your real workloads? Instead of a 2-socket / 2 NUMA domain system, sell us an asymmetric 4-socket / 4 NUMA domain system where 2 of the sockets / domains are much smaller and contain...

Add a expansion piece to the rails

When you are installing a HMC, Power 9 etc, in a non IBM rack, sometimes the HMC is just an half an inch too short from side to side. This happens when you are installing the hardware in a datacenter that you have no control over the rack. The onl...

Making an AIX full-system partition bootable on systems with IFL enabled cores

A full-system partition created on a Power9 box that has IFL enabled cores is unbootable. Leads to a B700F121 error. On Power8 a simple chsyscfg command allowed for reducing the CPU count on a full system partition profile, to exclude the IFL enab...
