This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

netrc will be highly illegal according to company regulations !
Shared credentials are used but it would be elegant to have an application that is run before the first session of ACS is started that could initiate the necessary credentials for ACS.
Thank you for submitting your Request For Enhancement. After evaluating your submission, the decision at this time is to not provide this support.
There are a couple other options available:
1. To avoid prompting altogether, you can set up a .netrc file in the users home directory (_netrc on Windows) where the system, id and password are specified. The user will need to update the password in this file whenever the password changes.
2. "Use shared credentials" - This option will prompt the user one time. The system configuration contains a Connection tab. On this tab, you may specify "Use shared credentials". Select that for each system where the uid/pw is the same. Now the user should only be prompted once after logging in to the PC.
