This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Using WRKSPLF, WRKOUTQ, WRKJOB WRKACTJOB, DSPJOBLOG and others is frustrating due to 80-column screen output used in those interfaces.
Only DSPSPLF had the foresight to incorporate so called wide screen mode. We need 132 column support in Work Management related (include Job interfaces) so we can see more information.
I open WRKACTJOB, WRKSPLF, or Display a Message Queue (including the JobLog) and can't see the whole picture. I have to use F11 or take option 5 on one of the options to see the information. If 27x132 mode was used, it would provide that information so I could cut down on using F11. And when you have 4 to 12 open 5250 sessions--often to different Power servers or partitions running IBM i, it would be so much nicer to just see the extra information already on the wide screen that is already supported by the device.

IBM has no plans to enhance these CL commands to add a few more columns of data. There are several already existing interfaces that have the ability to provide a very rich set of details for these interfaces. The Updated new IBM Navigator provides a wealth of data for these interfaces. Additionally, the IBM i services also provide a very detailed data set for these interfaces.
