Currently I was guided to https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/sf99730-730-special-instruction-links-level-21245 for review of special instructions for PTFs. Unfortunately the majority in the list have no value when applying delayed. I have to review all PTFs before applying. I would like to see a much shortened list that need to be addressed even when applying *DELAYED.

The web page referenced already indicates PTFs which can be ignored when applying *DELAYED by marking them with an * asterisk after the PTF number.
Upon investigation, we agree that a number of PTFs which do not include the * indicator could be ignored and are thus incorrectly indicating that the special instructions must be followed for delayed apply resulting in wasted time. This is not a functional issue however, and must be addressed internally by educating PTF developers and following established processes to mark the PTFs appropriately.
