Modify Entire System Save (go save 21) to show user when save start Merged

When running an Entire System Save (Go Save 21) the user is not advised when the backup actually starts writing to the tape.

In many circumstances the console can look like the system has hung, as the first information you get about backups is when the routine starts on the libraries. (Saving the x of y libraries program message)

Use Case:

This delay can be anywhere between 2 mins and 2 hours depending on a number factor, like but not limited to, the end TCP timer setting, whether system in restricted state before back started, the amount of user / group permissions that exist.

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.

Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

To find out how CEAC help to shape the future of IBM i, see CEAC @ ibm.biz/BdYSYj and the article "The Five Hottest IBM i RFEs Of The Quarter" at ibm.biz/BdYSZT

    Hello Steve,

BRMS has a solution for this, but that is only when there is a BRMS network in place. Meaning that in environments with only one LPAR, BRMS does not provide an alternative for what is requested in this RFE.

    Greetings Rudi
