Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

RDI: Indicators defined in display formats are not shown in outline

Indicators defined in a display file are not shown in the outline.

If I have a display file XX1234DA with a record format F01 where indicator 30 is used then it is not shown in the outline that it is used in the display file XX1234DA when there are references in the calculation specifications.

The indicator is shown in the outline but only for the references in the calculation specifications.

If it is only defined in the display file but not used in the program then the reference to the display file is shown.

Use Case:

It might cause errors if all references are not shown.

The easiest thing would be if you passed the problem described to the PMR team.
The PMR page requests a lot of information I don't have right now.

Thank you for taking the time to explain your issue with our product. This issue would be more easily resolved by opening a Problem Management Record (PMR), since it appears to be a defect or change in behavior in the product from previous releases. For more information on opening a PMR, please see:
