Allow save of returned values of SQL scripts

I would like to have the possibility to save the result of a SQL script to txt,csv,xls,... which was run in IBM i Access Client Solutions / run SQL scripts


Use Case:

Currently the returned values are only displayed, but there is no option to save the result to file locally on computer.

    .This function has been delivered. The following lines can be added to the AcsConfig.properties file:
    com.ibm.iaccess.RSSSaveResultsFromUI=true
    com.ibm.iaccess.RSSSaveResultsFromUIForceLoad=true

    You are correct in that it the "Enable Save Results" option causes the query to be run differently. We are unable to change that behavior for a number of reasons.

    For the next release, we are considering these two changes:
    1) Allow the ability to enable save results to persist (three options: always, never, and only for this session)
    2) Support a configuration property that allows the results to always be saved, even if the GUI option is set to "never". This would not require the query to be run differently, but will save the results mostly as text data.

    Would that be an acceptable response to this RFE?

    I have version 1.1.5.1 Run SQL Scripts and I can save my results using the Options menu and selecting Enable Save Results. I have to do this each time as I believe allowing the save of results causes the query tools to process the queries differently. Formats I have available to me are .txt, .xlsx, .xls, .csv and .ods.
