HMC File perms on /var/log/messages

File permissions of -rw-r----- on the /var/log/messages file do not allow any users other than hscroot to read the file.

We require all HMC users to authenticate with their own accounts (in the hmcsuperadmin role).

    Hi IBM,

    Thank you for the details about remote syslog, which is a good option to have but does not resolve the original request.

    File permissions of -rw-r----- on the /var/log/messages file do not allow any users other than hscroot to read the file.
    My request is to have the permissions on the /var/log/messages file of -rw-r--r-- so any HMC user can directly read the file with tail, cat, more, less etc.

    Hi,
