Open NetServer in IBM Navigator for i

IBM Navigator for i doesn't have the option to open the NetServer. System i Navigator (iNav) has this, but end of life has been announced for that tool. In iNav, the right-click popup menu for NetServer has an option for "Open i5/OS NetServer", but Navigator for i does not.

Use Case:

This feature allows you to see who's connected and as what user. This is useful to check what user authority is being used.

This requirement has been delivered as part of the new IBM Navigator for i GUI interface. Details on how to access and use this new interface can be found at: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6483299

The support has been delivered on IBM i 7.3 & 7.4 and can be obtained by loading and installing the Latest HTTP PTF Group

    IBM i 7.3 - Group PTF SF99722 level 32 or higher
    IBM i 7.4 - Group PTF SF99662 level 13 or higher

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommend that IBM doesn't implement this request.

It is available today, admittedly difficult to find.
Instead, the CEAC group would like IBM to update its documentation to make it easier for a user to find.

Background: The CEAC members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

To find out how CEAC help to shape the future of IBM i, see CEAC @ ibm.biz/BdYSYj and the article "The Five Hottest IBM i RFEs Of The Quarter" at ibm.biz/BdYSZT

A typo in my last update:

I have this is what you are looking for.
    should have been:
I hope this is what you are looking for.

    Hello Justin,

A while ago I ran into the same issue. After contacted IBM, they told me this function is already available in Nav4i. It can be found:
    Nav4i => Network => All tasks => IBM i Netserver.

I have this is what you are looking for. If not please ignore me and this comment for 100 % ;-)

    Greetings Rudi van Helvoirt
