HMC to generate alert email when UAK fails to be retrieved from IBM

If an HMC sends a request for new UAK (chsvcinfo) and IBM does not have record of an active entitlement, currently the process fails quietly.

The only notification in an entry in the HMC event log.

This failure is more significant than that, so should generate an alert email for those set up in that HMCs notification list.

    The function to send e-mail notification on UAK download failure, if e-mail notification is configured, is already supported on HMC. If e-mail is not generated, we would recommend opening a PMR or salesforce ticket to check the logs further.

    Hi,

    Assuming you have enabled email notification in the HMC via Manage Event Notification , an email should have been sent if the message is logged as shown in the screen shot. If the email notification was not received even with notifications enabled, would recommend opening a PMR or Salesforce case to investigate it further. Does that information help?
