Concurrent use of Screen History and Macro Playback in ACS

Upon running a macro in Access Client Solutions Version 1.1.7.0 we are informed that we must disable/remove screen history in order to run macros. We want to run macros while screen history is turned on. (It would not be necessary to record the screen history of the macro playing back, but it would be necessary to execute the macro.)

Use Case:

While having screen history turned on, an ACS user clicks a recorded macro on the toolbar which executes its function just as it would normally with screen history turned off.

This is available in our July 2017 update. You will be able to Pause screen history so that screens will not be captured. This will allow you to play a macro without ending screen history. Additionally, we are providing a property that can be set in AcsConfig.properties (com.ibm.iaccess.ScreenHistoryMacroOverride=true) which will allow history screens to be captured while the macro is playing.

IBM has received this requirement and is evaluating it. A response will be provided when evaluation is complete.
