The BRMS team believes that the request described has been solved and is available with the September 2020 BRMS PTFs (7.2 - SI73676, 7.3 - SI73677, and 7.4 - SI73678). The BRMS team appreciates the quick response for additional information on our proposed solution. The move policy with the special value of *FULL will only be executed for the media that has the move policy configured in the media policy so we feel we have an acceptable design in place. This request will be updated in the future if IBM implements it
The proposed solution is sufficient for our needs, as long as the move policy with the special value of *FULL only are executed for the media that have the move policy configured in the media policy and do not start to move every media in that location that is *FULL.
The BRMS team needs more information to further assess your Request for Enhancement. We are considering adding a new Duration special value of *FULL to the move policy. When volume movement is run for the move policy, BRMS would check for full volumes and automatically move them to the Location specified for the Duration *FULL value. This does not meet your request exact request to move volumes xx number of days after it is full, but would it work for your needs and meet this requirement of being able to move full volumes. The day you run movement, would be the day the full volumes would be moved.
This is still on the BRMS team backlog list, the community can continue to vote to influence priority.
The BRMS team will use this request as input to planning but no commitment is made or implied. This request will be updated in the future if IBM implements it. The BRMS team will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this request.
IBM has received the requirement and is evaluating it. IBM will provide a response after evaluation is complete.
