AIA Thailand got the problem Thai language on Data transfer on IBM iAccess Client solution.

Got the problem about the data transfer for Thai language - CCSID which cannot support non-Thai CCSID in database file so I ask you to offer the selection CCSID in IBM iAccess Client Solution. Refer to case no. TS014645564 and many customers in Thailand found this issue.

ACS data transfer has full support for the Thai language. In looking at the referenced case (TS014645564), the problem you are encountering is because the data is NOT stored in a Thai CCSID, it was stored as English (CCSID 37) which does not have Thai characters. You can still retrieve the data, but it will take special casting since the data has been stored as English. We have discussed your case with the IBM Service team. Please continue to work with them as they should be able to provide additional guidance.

The CAAC has reviewed this IBM Idea and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority Idea that is important to be addressed.

Data transfer should support all (Spoken) languages as the platform is a global platform.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual IBM Ideas on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your Idea.
