The BRMS team does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed. While we agree with the request, we do not currently plan to implement because this request is low priority and it has been open several months and it still has a low number of votes.

The BRMS team will use this request as input to planning but no commitment is made or implied. This request will be updated in the future if IBM implements it. The BRMS team will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this request.

Thanks for the update, this would allow a process where we a running a full back prior to carrying out updates. We would normally expect to have a full *allusr and also a savsys in the same media prior, as our backups are automated and run through BRMS this option would be useful.

The BRMS team needs more information to further assess your Request for Enhancement. After further evaluation, from a backup perspective we are trying understand the request to do a backup and then apply PTFs. Your backup is now back level since it does not include the PTFs that are being applied on the next IPL. What is the benefit of adding this when your backup is out date already after the IPL?

BRMS has added this to our release backlog. Not sure when we will get to it yet.
